The IVCC Mens Golf team claimed 2nd Place at the 10 team Illinois Junior College Preview tournament held March 30th and 31st at The Den @ Fox Creek in Bloomington Illinois. Individually, Region 4 Champion Ian Roach was the Runner up, getting nipped by a single shot.  Eagle Sophomore Clay Wells finished in a tie for 7th place and Eagle freshman Ben Cyr earned a Top 20 finishing tied for 19th place.  Eagle Coach Kennedy said, " The Eagles continue to improve.  We beat quite a few good teams and even caught the attention of perennially nationally ranked Parkland.  Playing conditions were difficult. 20 to 35 mph wind gusts and upper 30 degree real feel temperatures were challenging.  It was encouraging to see the mental toughness my team displayed to fight through the adverse conditions and bring home a trophy!"

The Eagles return to action next week @ Panther Creek CC, home of the LincolnLand Korn Ferry Championship on Monday April 5th.  Tueday April 6th the Eagles open up Arrowhead Conference play with a visit to Sauk Valley.
